I work with people, teams, and organisations in the space where things both rub and feel right. Where questions arise about direction, meaning, influence, or coherence—and where a longing for change from within is alive. In my work, I am not searching for quick solutions, but for real connection. For what wants to be heard but does not yet have language. For what wants to emerge, but has not yet found its form. So that together, we can address complex questions that determine the future relevance of the organisation.

As an executive counselor, I guide leaders, board members, and professionals who are willing to examine their role, their influence, and their actions in depth. Not simply to perform better, but to become more congruent and impactful. To make choices that are aligned from the inside out. As a trusted advisor, I work with executive teams, boards, and strategic forums on issues that touch the very essence and existence of the organisation—and that call for reflection, a renewed course, and shared ownership.

My background is in business administration, organisational consulting, and transformational work. I began my career in the corporate world, spent several years as a consultant with Capgemini, and then chose an independent path as co-founder of De Baaij, Verbeeten & Partners. Since then, I have guided organisations in both the public and private sectors—from international corporates to family-owned businesses, from ministries to healthcare institutions, from industry associations to international NGOs.

My experience includes assignments for CBI, multinationals, scale-ups, social alliances, professional services firms, ICT and technology companies, professional associations, and systems of collaborating organisations. Often in contexts of transitions, mergers, strategic reorientation, or the design of new forms of governance and collaboration. What drives me is the conviction that meaningful development begins with slowing down. With pausing to attend to what is truly present—what we would rather avoid, or what is spoken between the lines. In that stillness, space arises for choices that are not only strategic, but also humanly right. That, to me, is leadership: the ability to provide direction without losing oneself, and the courage to break through patterns that no longer serve.

I do not deal in quick advice or ready-made models. I work relationally, reflectively, and precisely. My style is gentle in contact, sharp in analysis, and rooted in trust. I appreciate complexity—but not as abstraction, only as an invitation to go deeper. My work is successful when people rediscover themselves in their roles, when teams begin to truly collaborate, and when organisations remember why they exist.

In a time marked by movement, uncertainty, and systemic pressure, I believe we need professionals who can stand alongside others. Who can learn to carry what cannot be solved immediately. Who dare to exert influence without taking over. And who seek connection without losing themselves.
