Strategy and organisational form
From direction to design
- Coaching and counsellingA confidential space for you as the person behind the role. Coaching focuses on your development: what drives you, what holds you back and what you need to lead with more calm and direction. Counselling makes room for what touches you in your work and your life, so that you can choose clearly again.
- Teams and networksWhat matters happens in the space between people. I work with executive teams, teams and networks that want to collaborate better: holding the conversations that are being avoided, making clear agreements and being able to rely on one another again, also across the boundaries of departments and organisations.
- Transformational leadershipTransformational leadership changes not only what people do, but also how they see and what they commit themselves to. It begins with yourself: who you are shapes how you lead. I help you give direction that moves people, challenges them to think for themselves and gives them room to grow, especially when everything is in motion.
- Intelligent organisationsAn intelligent organisation learns from its own experience. It draws on the knowledge and judgement of its people, makes room for reflection and renewal, and connects human and artificial intelligence so that AI strengthens people rather than replaces them. I guide organisations in that development, from the inside out.
Strategy and organisational form
A strategy is only worth something if the organisation can carry it out. Between the two lies a translation that is often skipped: which organisational form fits the direction you choose?
Do you recognise this?
We have a clear strategy. But the organisation is still set up for the previous one.
Our business model is changing, through the market, through regulation, through AI. We do not yet know what that means for how we are organised.
Every department translates the direction in its own way. The whole never takes shape.
Strategy and organisational form belong together. A direction that calls for closeness to the customer cannot live with an organisation built around internal functions. A direction that calls for scale cannot live with fragmentation. I make that coherence explicit, together with the board and the executive team.
From direction to design choices
We start with the task at hand. Whom does the organisation exist for, what must it deliver and where does it want to stand out? The design choices follow from there. Do you organise around markets, products or regions? What do you centralise and what do you place close to the work? What role does AI play in the way you create value? You do not receive a blueprint, but a well-founded organisational form with the choices and trade-offs that come with it.
Choices carried at the top
An organisational form is also a distribution of influence. Who gains and who loses in a new structure shapes how the design lands. That is why I work out the choices with the executive team itself, not around it. Where needed, together with experienced senior professionals from the DBVP network.
Psychodynamic. A debate about structure often hides a debate about position and influence. I make that discussable, so the choice is about the organisation and not about individuals.
Systemic. Strategy, structure, governance and culture must support one another. I look at the whole before any single part changes.
Human-AI. AI changes business models, and with them the organisational form that fits. I help you take that shift into the strategic choice, not as an afterthought.
Plan an exploratory conversation
Your organisation fits your direction. The top stands behind the choices. The design is well-founded and explainable.
